Cyclone Chapala will dump nearly 20 inches on Yemen over the coming days causing flooding and runoff like the country has never seen.  In fact, the rainfall total is likely to exceed the average amount over any 10 year period for Yemen.  That seems almost unbelievable.  So what are the wettest years and days for Arkansas historically.  Here is a brief recap:

Wettest Years:
In 2009 - 81.79 inches
In 1882 - 75.54 inches
In 1973 74.39 inches

Wettest Days:
09 April 1913 it rained 8.81 inches in Little Rock, AR.
13 September 1978 it rained 8.10 inches in Little Rock, AR.
20 April 1927 it rained 8.08 inches in Little Rock, AR.
